It’s not surprising to learn that Aaron Rossi net worth has exceeded $4 million. This Rhode Island native has a successful drumming career as part of the band Ministry and Prong. He’s also made his name known on social media. The 52nd Grammy Awards recognized his accomplishments in 2010.
Rossi is a central Illinois resident who was inspired to create his own business after graduating from Elmhurst College in 2006. He’s been able to apply his diverse skill set to the management of health care-based companies in the area. Today, his company has grown to include more than 300 employees and operates as PAL Health Technologies and Reditus Laboratories. Currently, he’s focusing on growing his business in the histology and chemistry testing fields.
Before launching his company, Rossi worked as an obstetrician, general practitioner and a 24-hour emergency room doctor. His goal was to offer better treatment to his patients. In 2008, Rossi acquired a bankrupt orthotics company in Pekin. He started his own lab at the same location. Initially, the company did medical tests, but he soon realized that his clients needed COVID-19 testing to diagnose certain ailments. Eventually, his company grew to become one of the largest employers in central Illinois.
The company’s biggest draw is the COVID-19 testing that it does. Using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) technology, the laboratory can provide results much more quickly than standard lab cultures. As a result, the company has performed millions of COVID-19 tests since it was founded in April 2020.
However, a recent federal indictment indicates that Rossi may have been doing something a bit more complicated than just trying to survive. Rossi was accused of diverting significant amounts of cash to pay himself and his company. According to the indictment, his company received a $100,000 loan from the Pekin City Council in 2016. A third party named Greg Cooper was tapped to manage the laboratory, but Rossi rescinded his appointment. While he did not disclose the exact amount, the lawsuit claims that Rossi failed to report more than $1 million in income in a year.
Another thing that Rossi is reportedly doing is building more space for his lab to accommodate the increased demand for COVID-19 testing. His company has already performed more than 2.5 million tests to date. And in the next few years, it plans to hire another 10 employees and increase its lab space to meet the increasing demands.
Notably, Rossi has also launched a new company, AJR Brands. AJR Brands is located within PAL Health. Among other things, it manufactures marketing supplies for various companies. Despite the fact that he’s allegedly started a lawsuit in the name of branding, it’s not clear whether or not they are romantically involved.
Ultimately, Rossi is hoping to transform the region of Central Illinois into a biomedical hub. Although he’s making efforts to do so, it might take years to see his plans come to fruition. For the time being, he’s focused on building a solid foundation and a strong brand.
