Catherine Austin Fitts Net Worth

If you have been in the business of investing in real estate, then you know the ins and outs of the housing market. Well, there is one famous woman that has made the business of investing in the resale of such properties one of her biggest gigs. The woman in question is Catherine Austin Fitts. She is a veteran investment banker and government official, with a career spanning decades. In her day, she had the good fortune of working for the likes of Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush. During her tenure at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, she was responsible for securing over a trillion dollars in funding for the housing industry, and she had a hand in bringing about the federally mandated mortgage reforms of the aughts. Now, she serves as President of Solari, Inc., a publicly traded firm that manages over 300 billion in assets.

While the above may sound like hyperbole, it’s actually true. Aside from her many ventures into the private sector, she also held positions in the government where she managed the department’s biggest budgets and its top officials. One of her notable achievements was to establish and lead the portfolio strategy for $300 billion in financial assets. Her high profile stints include serving as assistant secretary of housing in the first Bush administration. For a while, she was even managing director of Dillon Read & Co. However, that job was short lived. After a brief fling as a bartender, she moved on to the next thing.

One of the more intriguing aspects of her career is that she was one of the first women to ever be a director of a major brokerage firm. This was followed by an exciting stint in the investment banking world. As a result, she learned her trade by putting her money where her mouth was. Eventually, she founded a company called Sea Lane Advisory, LLC and founded a broker-dealer/investment bank, Hamilton Securities Group, Inc., in 1991. Later, she became a notable entrepreneur in her own right, forming Solari, Inc. and Solari Investment Advisory Services, LLC. It is perhaps not surprising that she has a thriving social media presence, which can be found on her various online channels. At the moment, she’s been known to be a frequent guest on Coast to Coast AM.

Not only is she a woman of the highest caliber, she has the good fortune of being a member of a select group of women who have been awarded with the prestigious title of “First Lady of America.” Among her more interesting accomplishments, she was one of the first women to receive an MBA from the Wharton School. And, of course, she is the daughter of William Thomas Junior and Barbara Kinsey Willits Fitts.
