A young Desiree Goudie enjoyed the good life, as in fancy clothes, a brand new car and a large albeit modest estate. The best part was that her family was in one piece, thanks to a loving and supportive husband, Scott Goudie. As a kid, she had it all, including a great wardrobe, a plethora of toys and a burgeoning social circle. She was an accomplished athlete, excelling in sports and dance. She graduated from Camarillo High School in June. And like any young lady, she threw a party once in a while.
Her dad was a former gold digger, and the family lived off the proceeds of the gold trade. In fact, they were so wealthy that they had an accountant to help them manage their assets. That, and the fact that the family owned a gold trading company called Goldfinger Coin and Bullion which was in turn owned by the Goldfinger Bullion Reserve Corp. But sadly, the glitz has worn off. Now, Desiree and Scott reside in Utah, while Pamela Fayed has taken up residence in Los Angeles. So, a happy and well-heeled family, perhaps a bit too happy and well-heeled for their own good. Hopefully, this won’t be the case for long. Until then, we will have to wait and see.
On the other hand, there is a darker side to her story. Her father, James Fayed, was arrested on an unrelated federal charge last week and faces the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence. For his part, Goudie and her lawyers have chosen to be mum on who will be caring for their daughter, Jeanett, who is six years old.
