Shervin Pishevar Net Worth

Shervin Pishevar is a venture capitalist and an angel investor. He is an Iranian-American who was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States with his family. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley. As an entrepreneur, Pishevar has started several companies and is also a co-founder of Hyperloop One. A few of his investments include Uber, Munchery, Cuil Health and Tumberer.

He has been named to the Forbes Midas List, as well as to the Vanity Fair “New Establishment” list. In 2013, he was a keynote speaker at the President Obama’s Summit on Entrepreneurship in Algeria. Several of his other professional achievements include the development of the United Nations’ first mobile application. Previously, Pishevar was the founder and CEO of a social gaming network called Webs Inc., which was later sold to MindJolt. Afterwards, he served as the chief application officer and general manager of the Mozilla Corporation.

Sherpa Capital was established by Pishevar in 2013. The organization is a venture capital firm that invests in promising start-ups. It has invested in companies such as Uber, Airbnb, and Munchery. Pishevar has also served on the board of directors of various companies. Since its inception, Sherpa Capital has acquired stakes in a number of promising start-ups.

Before launching his own venture, Pishevar worked in the field of sales and business development at Ionside Interactive. In 2005, he founded Webs Inc., the predecessor to JamCity. During his time at Webs, he launched the PC game Argentum. He also served as the founding president of the company until it was acquired by MindJolt in 2011. Upon the acquisition, Pishevar left his role as a director and president.

While he was working at Ionside, he was a founding member of the Social Gaming Network, which was renamed to JamCity in 2008. Pishevar served as the CEO and executive chairman of the company until it was purchased by MindJolt in 2011. Throughout his career, he has remained active in the Bay Area Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Invisible Children, and the Bay Area Children’s Hospital.

When he was a student at the University of California, Berkeley, Pishevar studied health economics and was the first student in the United States to be accepted to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Program. Having earned his undergraduate degree, he went on to study graduate courses at the School of Public Health. His research centered around Magainin peptides.

While studying in the US, Shervin Pishevar joined the Berkeley Scientific journal. Later, he was appointed to the United Nations Foundation Global Entrepreneurs Council. This was an honor he was awarded in 2016. Additionally, he was selected by the U.S. Government as one of the Outstanding American by Choice.

Shervin Pishevar has two children. Originally, he planned to pursue medicine. However, he changed his mind after seeing a study claiming that a person’s communication skills can be used to prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, he decided to focus on research and development.
